Harrison, Ohio – Cincinnati Test Systems (www.cincinnati-test.com) is pleased to announce the Sentinel BC5 and Sentinel IC5, new dedicated leak test instruments designed to deliver dependable performance, straightforward operation, and easy integration for applications where a single test technology is all that is required.
Building on the proven architecture of the fifth-generation Sentinel platform, the Sentinel BC5 and IC5 provide a focused approach to leak testing with the functionality manufacturers need for core testing applications—without the additional complexity of a multifunctional instrument.
The Sentinel BC5 and IC5 are available for three dedicated test technologies: Absolute Pressure Decay, Differential Pressure Decay, and Mass Flow. The Sentinel BC5 features a flexible bench- or horizontal-mount configuration suited for benchtop testing, manual applications, and automated systems where multiple instruments may be integrated. The IC5 provides a space-conscious wall- or vertical-mount configuration designed for overhead installation on automated or manual test stations.
“The Sentinel BC5 and IC5 were designed around a simple idea: when a manufacturer or system integrator needs a singular leak test technology and where instrument management of a multi-test sequence or tooling/seal control is not needed, the instrument should be purpose-built to fill that need, and do so exceptionally well,” said Dave Kralovetz, [Product Innovation Manager], Cincinnati Test Systems. “These instruments bring the proven Sentinel 5-Series architecture, our latest user interface, and the connectivity required for modern test stations into a streamlined platform that makes it easier to configure, operate, and integrate a dedicated leak test."
Both instruments feature CTS’s fifth-generation Sentinel user interface, as launched with the Sentinel IX5, providing intuitive access to test status, results, setup parameters, and statistical information. Built-in network and serial communications, along with EtherNet/IP and PROFINET PLC protocols, configurable digital I/O, and barcode connectivity, enable integration into modern production environments where tooling movement and process sequencing are managed externally.
“Expanding the Sentinel 5-Series is about giving manufacturers more choice in how they build their test systems,” said Thomas Beischel, [Director of Standard Product], Cincinnati Test Systems. “Not every application needs the same level of functionality, and our goal is to provide the right capabilities for the job while maintaining the performance, usability, and common platform that customers expect from CTS.”
For CTS customers looking to migrate to a 5-Series platform, the Sentinel BC5 and IC5 provide a well-suited replacement for the Sentinel LP5C28 and C28. The move brings the benefits of a modern platform and user experience while maintaining the focused functionality your application requires.
The expansion of the Sentinel 5-Series portfolio reflects CTS’s continued investment in advancing leak test technology for the demands of modern manufacturing. By continually evolving its products and platforms, CTS helps manufacturers keep their test processes optimized and ready to support the efficiency, quality, and productivity goals of today’s production environments.
